My Journey To Fitness and A Thank
You
Two years ago I was 40 pounds overweight! I was a little porker! This
is about my journey to fitness, a thank you to all who helped me and
a message: “If I can do it so can you!”
First, I want you to know that I had all the same excuses that you
have about why you cannot lose weight. I was depressed. I had a failed
relationship. I was addicted to carbs and sweets. Yadda, Yadda…!
Believe me when I tell you this is all nonsense! Excuses!
So girl, if you want to change your life you must first take responsibility
for yourself. You and you alone are responsible for your present condition-
no one else! You need to understand this if you are going to change.
Take responsibility for yourself!
Next, if you do not like the way things arw you need to change your
attitude, the way you do things and the people you hang out with.
Negative thoughts and negative people
be gone!!! Get rid of them both and you will succeed. If you
don’t, you won’t. Take responsibility!
Two years ago I walked into the gym and was overwhelmed by the atmosphere
and the people. But, I stuck with my guns and began to workout. At
first it was slow going. Then slowly I began to see results.
In August of 2003, I decided to get really serious, with the help
of my coach Mike Davies, I began to condition myself so I could compete
in figure competitions. This was hard. Not only did I have to stick
to a strict workout schedule, but I had to change my diet. Every time
I wanted to quit or cheat I remembered:
take responsibility for yourself! By this time I had met Mari
Kudla. Mary is a professional competitor in figure. She and mike pushed
and cajoled me and would not let me give up. I cannot than each of
them enough.
This year I won BodyRock! – I still do not believe it. Now my
goal is to gain professional status. No matter how far I progress,
I have changed my life physically and emotionally as a result of my
commitment to a fitfull life.
My thanks to all who have helped and supported me. Especially to Mike
and Mari and my family. If you are interested in competing in figure
or just getting in better condition please contact
me at this web site.
